Cold Creek Vineyard is where I spent my formative years learning about growing grapes. It was an honor to have a young block of Cabernet dedicated to me upon my retirement. The wine from “my block” showcases vibrant ripe berries, violets and a long, rich finish.

Walla Walla Red is a blend of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Tempranillo and Viognier. The 2018 vintage provided magical conditions to create a complex Merlot. Dineen Vineyard makes up 55% of this wine, and I added depth and texture with 45% old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Merlot. Syrah might be my favorite red variety – it proudly trumpets its terroir, and also responds to any technique orchestrated by the winemaker.
