Tasting Notes
This Horse Heaven Hills Sangiovese starts with comforting aromas of warm cherry pie and baked plums with notes of vanilla bean. On the palate, flavors of raspberry and black currant dominate but subtle tones of anise and brown sugar peek through while dusty tannins give the wine substance.

Aging
The wine aged over 18 months in 21% new oak barrels and 79% neutral barrels, where malolactic conversion occurred. Racking by gravity flow took place every three months during the aging period to gently clarify the wine.
