2018 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Wautoma Springs Vineyard

Fermented in concrete to show the elegant side of Red Mountain and retain bright acidity while bringing wet stone & red currant aromatics. Final blending brought a touch of new French oak to round out the palate & bring a beautiful length to the finish.

This Mourvedre-heavy Rhone-Style red blend brings out the best of each varietal, resulting in a well-balanced, deep, layered experience, which a soft and elegant finish.

Light graham notes meets wild strawberries on the nose, palate fills with bright, juicy fruit concluding with an elevated structure.

Dark fruit aromas intertwine with spice and floral notes. A rich palate is layered with blackberries, toast and earth.

The Clone 2 Cabernet Sauvignon is very expressive, fruit forward, and layered. It has big hits of jammy ripe fruit, dark berries and dried fruit that carry through the palate. A more delicate and refined structure and finish.

This wine opens with savory aromatics of cherry kirsch, herbes de Provence, clove, pipe tobacco, and petrichor. Flavors of dried plum enters the palate with plush tannins and focused mid palate. A structure finish lends itself to flavors of brambly fruit and baking chocolate.

Supple texture, remarkable depth and complex flavors are the hallmarks of Eroica XLC. Extended Lees Contact (XLC) is a modern interpretation of classic, Old World, dry-style Riesling. In keeping with Germany’s Grosses Gewächs “GG” designation, this is a dry wine sourced from distinctive vineyards.

The 2018 vintage provided magical conditions to create a complex Merlot. Dineen Vineyard makes up 55% of this wine, and I added depth and texture with 45% old vine Cold Creek Vineyard Merlot.
